Puppy Parties are for dogs under 12 months of age that have successfully completed the Kennel Club Puppy Foundation Award
at DIG IT DOGS or puppies that are booked onto the following puppy class.
Early socialisation of puppies - and the related process, early habituation - are the two single most important factors in ensuring
a balanced and well-behaved adult dog. Therefore, a puppy needs to learn how to interact normally with adults, children, other
dogs and pets (socialisation), as well as become used to everyday noises such as household appliances, cars, the countryside
and city (habituation).
The aims of the Puppy Parties are:
- Socialisation with puppies of similar age and size.
- Training for your recall from distractions.
- Get that ‘undivided’ attention from your puppy when there are lots of other playful dogs close by.
- To learn how to mix with other dogs, strangers and generally have a fun filled time.
It is important for puppies to know how to play each other. Puppies in the wild learn through play...
so can yours! Puppies can learn a lot from dogs of all different types and age ranges.
An instructor will be available to answer any questions you may have.
There will be a maximum of 3 puppies ‘off lead’ in the puppy play areas.
If you would like to attend these classes are an hour in duration they are £3 per week, ‘pay as you go’.
At DIG IT DOGS we want to promote responsible dog ownership from day one and ensure you and your new puppy have
a fun filled and rewarding life together.
