Clicker workshop
Do you want to teach your dog tricks? Empty the washing machine, pick up objects, tidy up, open the curtains and many more. Our clicker workshop will get you started. Clicker training is one of the best ways to bond with your dog and tighten that relationship. We will introduce you to the clicker and the science behind it and show you how to use it in basic training before looking at tricks.

Claire Powell special courses
Clicker classes - pay in 4 week blocks (£24) - open class for any dog to teach your dog to do anything you like, also could be useful to brush up on any elements required for any of the good citizen levels, useful tricks for future agility, or just build a etter relationship with our dog. - will start 31st March 1:30pm
Jump workshops. These will be outside on the field: £5 per dog for members £7 per dog for none Dig It Members. Open to all sizes of dogs. 7pm start
If handlers bring a video camera their runs can be filmed and they can review their own performance.
16th April - basic grids – Foundation grids. Suitable for all dogs over 12months. No previous experience necessary. Teaches striding and correct jumping. Reducing time on course and knocked poles.
17th May - box work (basic) – Working with the Derrett handling system on a double box. As long as you have a dog that can jump you can come!
28th May - Advanced jump grids – For dogs that have had previous experience of jump grids. These grids are not suitable for dogs that have never done jump grids.
18th June - Advanced box work – testing handling skills on multiple boxes. Handlers must have basic understanding of the Derrett handling system.
16th July - Course walking – which is the best way around a course? Come and find out what needs to be considered in decision making on course. We will use times to decide which is the best options for your dog.
9th Aug - Advanced grids – more opportunity to practice some technical grids. These will be different from the may workshop. You do not have to have done the may workshop to attend this one but dogs are required to have had previous jump grid experience, these grids will not be suitable for dogs who have never done grid work before.
24th Sept - basic grids – another chance for some foundation grid work for any dog new to grids or those that want a further opportunity to practice them.
18th Oct (indoors) - handling skills. Working on how we cue the dog to go exactly where we want them to go.
